NACTA Contest-April 23, 2004

Club Awards Banquet-April 20, 2004

Club Advisor Dean Riechers presents Nic Roth as the American Society of Agronomy Outstanding Senior.

Speech Contest-April 6, 2004

Our two contestants for the 2004 Speech Contest, Brian and Nathan, both gave great talks. Nathan will represent the club at the 2004 National Meetings in Seattle, WA.
Gary and Iris Heichel hosted the 2004 Field and Furrow Speech Contest at their home. Unfortunately, this will be the last time! Thank you so much for all that you do--we will miss you.

FFA Lunch-April 3, 2004

Not everyone can be at the grill.

Once the pork chops are ready, they are made into sandwiches and packed into lunches with chips and cookies.

Josh Green stays at NSRC to provide food to the people there. He attempts to wave customers over.

ASA Student Divison Regional Meetings
(Michigan State)-March 26-28, 2004

Yale Epler, Brian Fisher, Anna Ferguson, Rachel Crider, Regan Joehl, Nathan Schettgoecke, and Club Advisor Bob Dunker traveled to Michigan State University for the Regional Meetings of the Student ASA division.
Members participated in Aggie Olympics on
Friday night. Go Illini!
Yale shows how well and how fast he can drink.

Anna and Rachel enjoy seeing cows.
One stop on the tour was a maple syrup farm.
Tractors are a popular backdrop for pictures.

Club members love to spend time together.
A banquet on Saturday night was a good opportunity to spend more time with students from other schools, AND more time with each other.
We love to dip out toes in Lake Michigan.
What a great trip!

Seed Sets-March 2004

Club members fill bags with seed for use by high school grain judging teams.
Everyone tries to have fun while doing a boring task.
Even club advisors get involved.
After seed is added, some bags receive contaminants.
After all bags are filled with seed and various contaminants, members fill boxes with completed seed sets to be shipped.

Club Meeting-February 2004

On February 3, club members gathered for dinner, a business meeting, and a guest speaker.
Members listened as John Holthaus of Growmark discussed job opportunities with his company.
