Meeting-November 14, 2006

Jared Walter and Jacki Langlois are paying close attention to the meeting. Kevin Miller is not

SASES Annual Conference, Indianapolis, IN-November 10-14, 2006

Everyone waits to board the buses for the Ag Tour on Saturday morning
Creepy staring people thought that holding up a sign to Andy Morehouse would suddenly make him a "hugger"
In an amazing show of club spirit, Sean Breen wears a club polo, two club jackets, and a club hat.
The first stop on the tour was the new and unheard of "corn and soybean operation"
Next stop was a large greenhouse operation. This time of year, poinsettias are the big crop
Becks Superior Seeds gave a first-hand view of bagging seed corn
At the bowling social on Saturday night, Scott Wessel shows how close he came to a strike
Karen Tweet has great bowling form
On Sunday morning, SASES members gather for the first business meeting and breakfast
Kate Legge does another amazing job of presenting the club poster.
We won 5th place!
Brian Fisher has just presented his speech in the prelims and is waiting to hear if he made the finals. Krista Ubbenga offers support during the wait. Brian eventually won 2nd place overall!!
During the down time on Sunday, some club members toured downtown Indy
Craig Sondgeroth detours to the Food Court at the mall to eat a giant slice of pizza
Jared Walter stands next to the ever dapper AJ Woodyard after AJ's excellent report in the oral research presentation contest. AJ won 1st place!

For those who are not interested in a simple Bud Light, the hotel offers the yummy-sounding "Soil Martini" and "Crop Duster" for ASA attendees

Meeting-October 10, 2006

Everyone enjoys pizza before the meeting starts
Number One (aka Sean Breen) stands ready to help Captain Karplus as needed during the meeting
Sydney Jarrett, Nathan Karplus, Krista Ubbenga, and Regan Joehl have great stories of their time working as "slave labor" for Pioneer. Sydney got a rash, Krista got a love poem, Nathan got a good group of high school laborers, and Regan got out of having to come back for fall semester
Craig Sondgeroth explains that during his time as an insurance adjuster, he learned what lima beans look like (in the field)

Pathway Cleanup -October 10, 2006

A large crowd of environmentally concerned students comes to the Morrow Plots to clean up "our" pathway

Sydney and Caitlin are busy talking and hamming it up. Get to work, slackers!
Mike Meyer, philanthropy chair, has the important honor of finding the biggest piece of trash for the day
Caitlin Allen is such a sweet girl that she holds the door open for everyone heading back into Turner Hall

Mum Sales -September 26, 2006
